About
Miss Harriet is a short story from Guy de Maupassant, published in 1883. Full of humor, this short story is yet one of the most poignant de Maupassant. The narrator, involuntary subject of a pathetic passion, takes to the unfortunate Miss Harriet of genuine tenderness.
Maupassant here gives the extent of his talent to describe the scenery - it was described as "impressionistic writer". In it cut perfectly straight, feelings that develop between the characters are described with great delicacy, full of a deep humanity. (Adapted from Wikipedia)
