This classic children's book, issued first in 1893, was written for author's daughter Josephine, who died of pneumonia aged six. The Jungle Book came to be used as a motivational book by the Cub Scouts, at the request of Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting movement. Several films were also created based on Kipling's story. The latest adaptation premiered 15th April 2016 and was released by Walt Disney Pictures.
