Hardly an issue for the already registered and active users but we will be making changes to the registration process, downloads and other actions at OpenBooks.com.

This is based on two general conclusions:
1. The only real data that we need on basic reader level is the email address. We don't need any personal data, we don't need passwords, we don't need to know your FB, Twitter and such.
2. We are open and we want to stay this way, but to educate, we need at least some contact data.

Long story short, the changes will affect downloads, as we will ask for the email during the process, and this will affect the reader registration as the basic identification data will be enough to acquire a basic profile. Several actions will still require authentication with social media or password.

Accounts won't be removed and there will still be an option to fully register for a reader account. Simply we won't expect everyone to create a full reader account as we really only require an email. If you want to download a book - please tell us your email address. If you want to use the website in full - create an account.
