Hi.

I've already paid for one book on OpenBooks, but now that I want to pay for another PayPal no longer allows users to make payments without creating an account - which I don't want to do.

I was wondering if this is something you guys have some control over or if there is an alternative payment portal I can use instead.

Many thanks,

Kevin

Unfortunately, there is not much that we can do at the moment.

We are aware of the issue and we are looking into different other money transfer operators. Our top priority is to add more payment options soon. We are working especially hard on adding card payments to Openbooks.com but we are also open to other suggestions.

Do you have any? How would you like to pay for books at Openbooks.com? Card? Amazon Payments? Google Wallet, Apple Pay? Any feedback is more than welcome!

Well, we are counter Amazon and Amazon is "evul", but still, it's mostly about the preference of the end users - the readers :)

Stripe is my personal favorite but we are also looking at other options as we would have to do some work behind the scenes to add Stripe.

Yep, but we have to manage more than that: we need to think about the "Withholding tax", EU VAT and other, sometimes regional taxes. Despite that Internet is "digital", regional laws are even more PITA here.
