Original, Dark, Well-Paced, Well-Written

Did I mention original? This book brings up some crazy concepts and builds a fascinating world. Following Saru through a Philadelphia that I hope is never realized, I felt engaged by the snappy writing and fast pace. I think a lot of sci-fi struggles to build out a world, while at the same time keeping the audience engaged. Futuro is good at creating a unique, immersive environment in a subtle fashion, incorporating detail into action that drives the plot. A good, quick read.
