I am a Christian.  My decision to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior was made when I was about 9 years old. My father led me to Jesus and I prayed, accepting Christ by faith. It was some time before or after this that I had a vision while sleeping, and it felt like an out-of-body experience, where I went to heaven and saw our Lord in person and had a conversation with him. When I woke up my father told me that I was telling him things that only my parents would have known, which vindicated the veracity of my vision. My walk with God was mediocre during my childhood until I graduated high school. At that moment I felt the strong urge to draw closer to him. I started seriously studying the Bible on a deeper level. When I entered the army, that is when I truly began to serve our heavenly Father with fervor, learning how to serve selflessly in a tight-knit church community in Louisiana. It was during this time that I began delving deeper into church/Jewish history, Christian biographies and Bible commentaries/word studies. Up to this point in life, I had mainly experience with Baptist churches. After leaving the army, I began to start worshipping with other denominations and learning the differences on an experience level. I have traveled a great deal since then, and my journeys have expanded my faith due to being exposed to all walks of life in many places, and by learning to trust Messiah with no money, not much food and many hours of loneliness. One of the highlights of my life was when I served with Jews for Jesus and learned how to share my faith with boldness on the streets while facing much opposition. I believe once I made a decision to follow my Savior, he put me into his ministry, his service. My plans for service are based on Jesus' plans for me.
